ManjaPay Frequently Asked Questions

ManjaPay is a contactless payment that enables cashless payments and ticketing on-board buses via your smartphones. It uses the Near Field Communication (NFC) technology to exchange data between payment devices and your smartphones to complete the payments.

You will no longer need to carry cash or cards with you, just use your smartphone to complete all the payments.

Melaka
ManjaPay is currently available on the shuttle bus service at UiTM Melaka Alor Gajah Campus.

Any mobile device with Bluetooth, internet access, QR code scanning capability will suffice.

1. Download LUGO App
2. Connect to Manja bot
3. Set up your ManjaPay account
4. Top-up up your ManjaPay account
5. Board the bus, tap your phone on the ManjaPay sticker on top of the tapping machine, or scan the attached QR code using the built-in scanner for your e-ticket to appear.

* Please make sure the mobile data and Bluetooth of your phone are turned on during the payment process.

You may choose either way to make payment.

Option 1: by tapping

Step 1: Unlock your phone.

Step 2: Tap your phone at the top of the ManjaPay sticker on the tapping machine.

Step 3: Successful payment is confirmed with the appearance of your e-ticket. (iOS users will have to click on the banner notifications to acquire their tickets)

Note: Keep your phone’s mobile data and Bluetooth enabled during the process.

Option 2: by scanning

Step 1: Unlock your phone.

Step 2: Open the LUGO App.

Step 3: Tap ‘Use ManjaPay’ under the Manja bot.

Step 4: Launch the QR code scanner.

Step 5: Scan the QR code on the tapping machine.

Step 6: Successful payment is confirmed when your e-ticket appears.

Note: Keep your phone’s mobile data and Bluetooth enabled during the process.

For myBAS Johor Bahru you will have to TAP IN (WHEN BOARDING) and OUT (WHEN ALIGHTING) when you choose to pay your bus fare with ManjaPay on the selected myBAS Johor Bahru routes.

For UiTM Melaka (Alor Gajah) You will only need to tap once while you board the bus, tapping out is not required here.

You may top-up your ManjaPay account or pay your bus fare in cash.

You have the option to reload your ManjaPay account using the dashboard within the LUGO App.

3. Select ‘Manja Wallet’
4. You can view your remaining balance in ManjaPay under the Mobile Payment section.

No, your ManjaPay account does not have an expiration date.

No, each account can only be used by one person at any one time.

No, credits transfer between accounts/cards is not allowed.

If your NFC isn’t working, you can use the built-in QR code scanner by scanning the QR code on the tapping machine.

No, you cannot terminate your ManjaPay account or request a refund. Once your account is created, it remains active until you decide to stop using it, and refunds are not available.
