Additionally, MasterCard has expressed interest in partnering with Handal Indah to expand this open-loop system, not only for its cross-border services but also for local routes in Malaysia. Discussions are currently underway to explore this exciting partnership further. The event also provided Handal Indah the opportunity to announce its commitment to sustainability through the exploration of electric buses for its fleet. ManjaLink Shines at Malaysia Travel Fair in Singapore

October 12, 2024 – Sands Expo, Singapore: ManjaLink made a strong debut on the international stage during the Malaysia Travel Fair held at the Sands Expo in Singapore. This event marks a significant milestone for ManjaLink as it successfully ran its first international roadshow, promoting its new initiatives and unveiling the newly designed ManjaLink card. The sleek, modern card design quickly caught the attention of Singaporeans and cross-border travelers alike, signaling a fresh and innovative chapter for the brand. The new ManjaLink card design was the centerpiece of the promotion, reflecting the company’s commitment to continuously evolving and improving the travel experience for its users. Since its inception in 2011, ManjaLink has established itself as a key player in cashless payment solutions in the transport industry, particularly for cross-border travel between Singapore and Malaysia. The new card features a more refined aesthetic, with a contemporary look that is not only visually appealing but also practical, making it easier for travelers to access the services they need seamlessly. ManjaLink’s partnership with Causeway Link, one of the largest cross-border bus operators between Malaysia and Singapore, further cemented its presence at the event. Causeway Link, known for its extensive fleet of over 700 buses operating on routes that connect Singapore and Malaysia, worked closely with ManjaLink to promote its new card and travel packages. As part of this collaboration, travelers who purchased a ManjaLink card during the roadshow received an exclusive bus replica, a promotional item that became a major hit among attendees and collectors. “We’re thrilled to partner with Causeway Link, one of our strongest allies in enhancing the travel experience for commuters,” said Noel Lim, MarComm of ManjaLink. “Our goal with this new card is to continue providing convenience and efficiency for travelers, especially those who frequently commute between Singapore and Malaysia.” ManjaLink’s role extends far beyond the cross-border commute. As the official cashless payment service provider for Causeway Link, the card is widely accepted across multiple public transportation networks in Malaysia. Notably, ManjaLink plays a vital role in facilitating cashless payments on the myBAS Johor Bahru routes, a key public transport system that connects various important locations in Johor Bahru. In Melaka, the ManjaLink card is also used for payments on the BAS.MY services, which include shuttle services to Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM) in Melaka, providing students and commuters with a reliable and efficient cashless travel solution. The integration of ManjaLink into these networks reflects the company’s dedication to enhancing public transportation across Malaysia. By offering a secure and hassle-free payment option, ManjaLink simplifies the daily commute for locals, students, and visitors, making it easier for them to access transportation without the need for cash. With the launch of the new card design, 2024 marks a pivotal year for ManjaLink. The company is not only focused on offering efficient payment solutions but also on improving the overall travel experience for its users. As cashless payments become increasingly important in the travel sector, ManjaLink aims to stay ahead of the curve by embracing innovation and developing services that cater to the evolving needs of travelers. The new card design is part of ManjaLink’s broader strategy to modernize its brand while maintaining the reliability and trust it has built over the years. “We understand that travel needs are constantly changing, and our goal is to provide solutions that not only keep up with those needs but also enhance the journey itself,” added Mr. Lim. “We want to offer more than just a payment method – we want to give our users a seamless, enjoyable travel experience.” In addition to its existing services, ManjaLink is exploring new opportunities to expand its cashless payment solutions to more travel and transport sectors, further positioning itself as a leader in the industry. The company’s collaboration with key players like Causeway Link underscores its commitment to offering superior services to both local and international travelers. ManjaLink is not only limited to Causeway Link’s cross-border services but is also accepted on several domestic bus routes, including the myBAS Johor Bahru services and BAS.MY in Melaka. The card is widely used by commuters for daily travel, with plans to expand its usability to even more routes and services across Malaysia in the coming years.
