4th Year ManjaLink Anniversary Bring Smiles to Life

ManjaLink celebrated its 4th Year Anniversary at Sanrio Hello Kitty Town and Thomas Town on the 29th of October 2016. This celebration was spearheaded to thank all our ManjaLink Card Members for their support to make this day extra special. The Anniversary Celebration invited the children from Hospital Sultan Ismail Johor Bahru (HSIJB) –Paediatric Palliative Care (PPC) in conjunction with the CSR activity of the Company in “Bringing Smiles To Life”. ManjaLink Anniversary brought together all ManjaLink partners, anniversary sponsors and ManjaLink members and the Management of PPC-HSIJB to allow those children under paediatric treatment to enjoy and be part of this special day. Ms Lim Chern Fang, Handal Indah Director of Operations and Marketing, said that when joy is shared, it binds people together to bring happiness and joy to everyone. “We would like to express our appreciation and gratitude to our ManjaLink Card members for the support especially during the elementary stage of this product in the market. With this Anniversary Celebration, we will try our best to make this day memorable for everyone who joined in”, she also added. The highlights of this year’s ManjaLink developmental milestones includes: 1.  Launching of its new website interphase;2.  Introduction of ManjaLink Travel Credit Reload Card as an additional mobile reloading system to all ManjaLink Card users;3.  Improvement of ManjaLink online top up system through the usage of credit card, debit card and online banking in the ManjaLink website portal;4.  Partnership with HUGO mobile app as an additional reloading portal in both online top-up and ManjaLink reload card. HUGO is a mobile app that is strategically developed to be the Urban Mobility Companion that aims to provide a personalised travel experience for commuters. As to the future of additional facilities for ManjaLink, the team is developing additional ManjaLink Self-service Machine using mobile android operating system. The functionality is the same as the current ManjaLink Self- service machine but it is equipped with more features to serve ManjaLInk Card members. This year’s Anniversary Celebration was composed of 150 participants from ManjaLink Card members and 50 tickets’ reservations for parents and kids from PPC-HSIJB together with their designated medical team. Causeway Link and ManjaLink participating Sponsors provided the transportation services of the special guests from Hospital Palliative Care to Sanrio Hello Kitty Town and Thomas Town in Puteri Harbour, admission tickets to the theme park, goody bags, complimentary lunch, and Lucky Draw surprises during the event. A special appreciation prize called “ManjaLink Loyalty Certificate” was also awarded to one of the most loyal ManjaLink Card Member of the Year. Causeway Link Contributed Public Transport Development in Johor Bahru

Causeway Link bus services under Handal Indah Sdn Bhd boosted Johor Bahru’s public transport through the opening of various new bus services, bus terminal, counters and travel card to cater the demand for public transport in the state. First development includes the introduction of Causeway Link bus service CW7L that operates from Mall of Medini to the Sultan Abu Bakar Checkpoint (2nd Link). CW7L also connects the Causeway Link bus service to and from Singapore (Jurong East: CW3/CW4; Boon Lay: CW6). Second entails the opening of two additional service counters located at Sultan Iskanda Building (Johor Bahru CIQ – towards Woodlands) to provide ManjaLink new card registration assistance and top-up services; and Mall of Medini (Mini Bus Counter) to provide new ManjaLink Card registration assistance, top-up services, theme park tickets and exprss bus tickets. Third consists the introduction of JB Tourist Bus Pass that provides 3 days consecutive unlimited bus rides for commuters for major attractions in Johor Bahru such as Mall of Medini, Puteri Harbour, Seai International Airport and Johor Premium Outlets. The bus pass is also valid for traveling to and from Singapore with any purchases of theme park admission tickets and hotel vouchers available at all Causeway Link counters and online website. Fourth development includes the operation of Handal Indah to the Taman University Bus Terminal in Johor Bahru. Handal Indah is the only express bus company to start a direct express bus to serve students from nearby UTM. Every Thurday, commuters are able to catch a bus at 5.00 pm & 6.00pm to Kuala Lumpur and 6.00pm to Melaka. The bus terminal features a numerous amenities that includes countless shops and cafes, bus bays and taxi stand. And the fifth development was the introduction of Exhibition Buses in the state. It is an Open-Top Double -Decker Bus that featres roofless top deck with air conditioning and built in entertainment system. The exhibition bus is suitable for campaign events, roadshow, ceremonies, occasions, and other celebrations. Meanwhile, the said developments were highlighted during the Press Conference on the 16th of March 2016 at the White Box, Mall of Medini with the presence of high-profile guests including: Dato Tee Siew Keong, Johor State Tourism, Domestic Trade &Consumerism Executive Conuncil Chairman; Ms Magdlane Tuborng Melai, Director, Ministry of Tourism & Culture Malaysia (Johor State); Puan Kamisah Ghazali, Senior Vice President IRDA, Johor; Encik Azman Yahya, Senior Vice President PAJ (Pengangkutan Awam Johor); Puan Iszalila Isnin, Assistant Director Wilayah Selatan, SPAD Johor; and Mr Devamanokaran Poonegasan, General Manager, Retail &Asset Management, UEM Sunrise.

Introduction of ManjaLink & Launch of New Bus Service to Johor Premium Outlets

Handal Indah Sdn Bhd, which operates that Causeway Link bus service, is introducing a whole new payment system, ManjaLink, to eliminate the travelling time for the cross-border bus services between Johor Bahru and Singapore. Currently, between 3,000 and 6,000 oassengers are using its bus services from the Second Link (2nd Link) Bridge to Singapore daily, and between 10,000 and 15,000 users for the services via the Causeway. By utilizing the ManjaLink Card, not only will it shave the travelling time, travelling will be more secured as the cashless system eliminates the need for loose change. The ManjaLink Card stores Travelling Credits that deducts the fares upon detection by the reader. The Travelling Credits are secured as any cases of loss of card or theft can be reported to the available counters, ensuring the user that their credits are always available. Today also marks the day that 2 new services will be introduced to ferry shoppers from Johor Bahru and Singapore to Johor Premium Outlets (JPO) – JPO 1 and JPO 2. JPO, located along the highway in Kulaijaya is a joint venture between Genting Bhd and Simon Property Group, is scheduledto be officially launched by Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak on Sunday (Dec 11). The stores include those selling top brands like Armani Exchange, Burberry, Charles & Keith, Coach, DKNY, Micheal Kors, Salvatore Ferragamo and Zegna. Visitors from Singapore will have two options – they could board the company’s cross-border bus service from the republic via the Woodlands Causeway or the Tuas 2nd Link Bridge. Those coming from the Causeway could catch the bus service JPO1 from JB Sentral which is just a walking distance from the Bukit Chagar Customs, Quarantine and Immigration (CIQ) complex. The JPO2 service caters from visitors using the 2nd Link where they could board Causeway Link crossborder bus services from Jurong East Interchange to Gelang Patah Terminal, passing through the 2nd Link to the retail outlet. JPO2 also extends its service to Senai Airport, providing passengers a convenient travelling option.
